The debut event for Japans newest MMA organization was a success as over 700 fans were on hand to witness ASTRAL!
In the main event, former Welterweight KOF fighter made it be known he's ready to do battle as Rumina Sato (5-6) landed an Americana submission early in the 1st round and pick the win up over China's Aoki Matsumoto (2-1). In the co-main event we saw another Welterweight tussle as Shin Ya (5-0) picks up his fifth win a row dropping Chiba Masaki (2-1) who loses his first pro fight.
Middleweight Mirko Vucinic (3-3) ended his match against Matsushita Yashunori (0-2) in glorious fashion as Yashunori hit the canvas just 0:21 into the first round with a very nice left-right combination. In the second Middleweight tilt, Tetsuhiro Uwano (2-0) won a majority decision over Korea Elite MMA gym fighter Hideaki Katsu (0-2).
At 145lbs, Takaku Fuke (2-2) picked up his second career win after scoring a decision victory over the debuting Korean Jongwoo Park (0-1). Fuke outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good for Park.
In the first of two Lightweight fights, Brazilian Rafael Diias (4-2) locked in an Armbar submission midway through the first round over KOF veteran Hidetaka Sato (2-4). Diias looked very good and Sato could just not find an answer for his strong ground game.
In the Lightweight match that was a late addition to the card, and of main event in stature, Tokyo Cage Combat Lightweight champion Ryuu Matsumoto (8-0) continued his domination this time defeating Fiji's Raig Si Zhiro (4-7) with a nice arm triangle submission midway through the 1st round. The Elite Jiu Jitsu Combat Systems fighter Massumoto wasted little time in taking the fight to the ground.
Korea Elite MMA Featherweight Hyun Tsubaki (1-0) scored a win in his pro debut as he former LEGEND FC from Brazil, Eduardo Yamamoto (1-4) with an Arm Triangle submission late in the 1st.
Light-Heavyweight Ryu Hoshi (1-0) picked up a win in grand style in his pro debut landing a wicked high kick KO over Danish Asbjorn Jensen (2-2) just 0:50 into the 1st round.
In the opening fight, Croatian Krunoslav Slabinac (2-0) look impressive picking up his second career win after dropping Tatsuya Kimura (1-1) early in the 1st.
After the show, Event Producer Sotora Shinoda thanked the fans for coming out and supporting ASTRAL and announced the next event would take place May 19th and be called TOUSHI (Fighting Spirit).
